ABSTRACT

A terrorist for the purposes of Part V of the 2000 Act is a person who has committed an offence under the Act, or is or has been concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.118 A constable may arrest without a warrant a person who he reasonably suspects to be a terrorist.119 A constable may apply for a warrant relating to specified premises if he is satisfied that there are reasonable grounds for suspecting that a person suspected of terrorism is to be found there. The warrant authorises entry and search for the purpose of arresting the person in question.120
