ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we consider the powers of the court to order an offender to pay compensation to the victim, to order forfeiture of articles used to commit crime and to confiscate the proceeds of crime. We also consider the special orders which can be made in respect of offenders who are mentally disordered and examine the power of the court to recommend that a person be deported. Finally, we look at various orders involving exclusion and disqualification.
