ABSTRACT
Given that shelter is a basic human need, that activities relating to it are commonly emphasized in both geography and anthropology, and that it is a topic addressed in almost all primary social studies curricula, we expected to find at least some scientific literature on trajectories in children’s knowledge and thinking about it. However, this was not the case. We were unable to locate any studies that spoke directly to the issues raised in our interview.
