Herein she addresses the economic and moral restoration of postwar Germany Economic rehabilitation and the modern business world are introduced in Reinshagen's early play Doppelkopf(l97l\ Twohead), in which the young aspiring protagonist climbs the corporate ladder only to become sickened and repulsed by the inhumanity at the managerial pinnacle. This contemporary theme is delivered through an expressionistic play structure. The story of the ambitious but unsuccessful apprentice, who strives to enter the managerial ranks, is also told in Reinshagen's humorous first novel Rovinato oder die Seek des Geschãfts (1982; Rovinato or the Soul of the Company).
