ABSTRACT
Born in Milan, Francesca Sanvitale lived for a while in Florence, then settled down in Rome. Beside being an accomplished novelist, Sanvitale writes for some of the most influential Italian newspapers and journals (her pronouncements on Tozzi and Neera are often quoted), and she is a skillful interviewer (her interviews of French Academician Yourcenar were made for the Italian RAI-TV).
