ABSTRACT

When you think of seasons, perhaps you think of the weather, or sports, maybe food, perhaps special clothing, or the holidays, or vacations, or family gatherings. There are many types of seasons and people connect as many different memories, activities, and traditions with them. We often associate vacation camp with summer, for example. In the winter and spring of each year, typically, many daily newspapers and certain magazines devote attention to summer camps. As part of this annual activity, parents and children spend countless winter and spring hours talking about camps and deciding what they will do that upcoming summer. Will they attend the same camp as last year, or something new, or will there be a new specialty or theme for this year’s camp? As a seasonal feature doubling in a service role, these articles help such discussions with new information and descriptions.
