ABSTRACT

What is funny to you or to someone else? Is there a difference? One dictionary said humor is a person’s disposition or temperament, sort of a state of mind. Webster’s New World Dictionary (1966) defined humor as whim or fancy. Then it added, well into the definition, “the quality that makes something seem funny, amusing, or ludicrous; comicality-the ability to perceive, appreciate, or express what is funny” (p. 708).
