ABSTRACT
Part (a) James, Chris and Mike planned to kill John. They arranged to meet later in the evening, then proceeded to John’s house where it was intended that James and Chris would restrain John while Mike stabbed him. At the appointed time, Chris and Mike met but James did not turn up. He had changed his mind. He had tried to telephone Chris and Mike to inform them of his decision, but had been unable to make contact. James telephoned John to warn him that Chris and Mike were on their way and that they planned to attack him. As James was explaining the danger, Chris and Mike arrived. Chris grabbed hold of John, whereupon Mike, following the plan, stabbed John in the heart. John died instantly.
