ABSTRACT

This chapter reviews the literature on internalizing difficulties among youth who are involved in bullying (bullies, victims, and bully-victims). Specifically, it examines the literature on depression, hopelessness, locus of control, and anxiety. It is the goal of this chapter to examine the relationship between internalizing problems in bullying and victimization with the hope of providing guidance for professionals and parents who work with youth experiencing this ubiquitous phenomenon.
