ABSTRACT

The chapters in this book have evolved through participant observation and the interdisciplinary practice of health professionals over the last 8 years as conducted by the Vermont Interdisciplinary Leadership Education for Health Professionals (VT-ILEHP) Program. The cases developed for each chapter have been carefully selected to represent a range of disabilities affecting infants, children, and youth, and their families, as well as diverse family structures, socioeconomic, racial, and ethnocultural backgrounds. An interdisciplinary model for training and service delivery is the approach used to respond to the cases presented.
