ABSTRACT

Change is tough. Although change impacts most of us much of the time, we do not have ways to communicate about change. Yet most of us know a lot about change because we have our experiences. The purpose of this chapter is to help us understand the change process by examining models that have been used in both profit and nonprofit situations. Also we begin to develop a vocabulary that can enable us to continue our change education, educate others, and enhance communication. With these concepts, tools, and techniques, our ability to understand, implement, and deal with change should be enhanced.
