ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we look at what makes educational administration unique among types of administration. We also consider the present historical context of schooling in America in order to underscore the crucial importance of school administration in the schools of today and tomorrow. The chapter concludes with some questions for self-reflection for those who plan to assume the responsibilities and challenges of school administration.
