ABSTRACT
Why is peace education such a difficult task? This is the main question posed in this chapter. I would like to argue that one of the answers to this question lies in the continuous war education that youngsters and adults have been receiving since the beginning of mankind, and I also argue that war studies can be converted into a catalyst of peace education.
