ABSTRACT

Sunnyside Elementary School was one of the four schools identified as highly effective in the CIERA Study, Effective Schools and Accomplished Teachers (Taylor, Pearson, Clark, & Walpole, 2000). In carrying out that study, we created a case study for each of our highly effective schools. In this chapter, we present the case study of one of those schools, Sunnyside. This case study described Sunnyside during the 1997-1998 school year.
