ABSTRACT
In chapter 1 I stated that “agency is in the authorship.” This book has been an account of women co-authoring their lives across their life span-grandmothers, mothers, and adult daughters struggling to write their own stories within the context of the relational stories. Some of the women in Elkwood were able to successfully weave their personal storylines into the fabric of the relational narrative, whereas other storylines became entangled in the fabric of relational connection.
