ABSTRACT

McKeachie (1987) began his autobiographical narrative “Teaching, Teaching Teaching, and Research on Teaching” in this way:

I propose to reflect on my 40 years of teaching and to try to identify what I have learned. I suspect that the things that I have learned are already familiar to many experienced teachers. In fact, I find from time to time that I learn again something that I had learned years ago and forgotten. (p. 135)
