ABSTRACT

Research on CBTs has generally focused on issues of design, development, and delivery. Only in the last several years has there been serious attention by researchers to examinee behavior and scoring of CBTs. The chapters by Dodd and Fitzpatrick (chap. 11, this volume) and Schnipke and Scrams (chap. 12, this volume) shift attention to these critical issues in CBT. In this chapter I discuss the major issues and implications for research on and operation of CBTs raised in these chapters.
