ABSTRACT

Having considered a number of themes that run through multivariate methods, it is instructive to view how these themes apply to MR. To do this, the set of 10 questions presented in the previous chapter are outlined with discussion on how to respond to them if considering the use of MR in a research study. MR can be considered an intermediate method that highlights some of the complexities of correlational methods that allow for more than one independent variable (IV). MR also serves as a foundation to develop and comprehend other more extensive methods.
