ABSTRACT
Above all else, let us see to it that no customs are fastened on the Christian Church that are going to weigh it down with debt. Leave them to develop on Eastern lines as they feel it to be necessary. There has been too much interference with natural development, binding on the church our western customs, and making them so all important that the Oriental spirit is crushed out and all are made to follow and lean on the Western teacher. If we preach Christianity, He will lift them up and we will have an Eastern Church carried on according to Eastern ideas, that will care for and develop its social customs on healthy natural lines.
