ABSTRACT
The relationship between brothers and sisters is one of the most enduring of all human relationships, usually outlasting that between children and parents. Although there are elements of rivalry and competition between siblings, there is also a close bond, with older siblings often playing a crucial role in educating and socializing younger children. In their turn, younger children potentially learn a lot from older siblings.
