ABSTRACT
The distance between the attitudes reflected in the comment “Many students came in rigid, complaining, whining” and those expressed in the comment “How am I impacted? I’m not the same teacher I was last February. Even after twenty-one years of teaching students, I’m different. I see growth in myself. I see a change in myself. I see a change in my students. My teaching strategies have changed.” Is a journey of only four months. In terms of changed hearts and minds, it is a journey of light years! The journey has been win-win-win for the students, the teachers, and the administrators of the Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD) and National University’s (NU) School of Education and Human Services. A minor miracle? A miracle, perhaps, but anything but minor.
