ABSTRACT

David, a sophomore geology major, rises late one Sunday morning and considers how to spend his day. There are several things he wants to accomplish-laundry, for starters, finishing his lab report that is due the next day, meeting his buddies for a quick game of basketball, calling home to wish his sister a happy birthday, and surfing the Web to get information on a company he hopes will respond favorably to his request to interview for a summer internship. Beyond those, David intends to do several other, routine, everyday things: take a shower, brush his teeth, get dressed, and eat brunch, to name just a few.
