ABSTRACT

Writing Tailoring Algorithms: Linking Questions, Answers and Messages

Think about some of the decisions you make every day. What time do you need to wake

up to get to work on time? What clothes will you wear? What tasks do you need to

complete? Where will you have lunch? Although you may spend little or no time

consciously thinking about some of these decisions, there are usually a number of factors

that must be taken into account before making even the simplest of decisions. Consider

the decision about what to wear to work. If you could superimpose a linear and logical

train of thought on human decision making, it might look something like this:

IF it will be cold outside today and it will be cold at my office, THEN I need

to wear something warm and bring a coat.
