ABSTRACT
Longitudinal research of personality development consists of the investigation of the same individuals over extended periods of time. This kind of research is valuable because it allows investigators to study the progression of personality traits or maladaptive personality within an individual. It also allows researchers to examine development of patterns of relationships among variables over time. The main focus of the repeated measures design and analyses is to examine stability and change in personality development.
