ABSTRACT
Perhaps the dialectic principle gives a clue as to the nature of the aesthetic response. During the course of describing value systems, it was proposed that all such systems depend upon the principle of significant relationship. Perhaps the point has been reached where it is possible to speculate about the nature of that significance.
