ABSTRACT
In any discussion of child-upbringing, the question of discipline must be at once the central and the most controversial issue. It is central because it arises in some form at every turn of the child’s daily life; it is controversial because human beings, whether parents or not, tend to have views on how parents ought to behave towards their children.
