ABSTRACT
The individual interview is one of the most common task analysis data gathering tools. The task analyst will interview experts or trainees about various task dimensions or components. Interviewing elicits a variety of task information from a respondent, including body language, verbal information, and emotions. It is especially useful for gathering unanticipated information about the topic, which is useful when the task analyst is not completely sure what he or she wants to know about the task!
