ABSTRACT
Because he scored only 350 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), Kamel was placed into a lower level ESL course. He is a conscientious student with ambitions of one day earning a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Although Kamel speaks English fairly well, his writing skills are very weak. He has trouble expressing ideas grammatically, so it is often difficult to understand his written work.
