ABSTRACT
Martha,1 a developmental English student,2 wrote this enthusiastic response following her participation in an intercultural electronic mail exchange between our classes, a basic writing3 class at Tri-County Technical College (Pendleton, South Carolina) and an English as a Second Language (ESL) class at City College of New York.
