ABSTRACT
This chapter examines test taking at the college level. A review of the literature on test
wiseness and test-taking skills, coaching for tests, and theories of and treatment for test
anxiety is provided. A section on implications for practice contains suggestions on how
instructors can integrate strategies of preparing for and taking tests into curriculum and
how students can apply them. Finally, we include a brief summary of implications for
future research.
