ABSTRACT

Choosing the proper statistical analysis may seem like a difficult task, considering the large number of possible choices. However, this task should be easier because you are now familiar with independent and dependent variables, research approaches, design classifications, and scales or levels of measurement. This chapter presents a series of decision steps and four tables that will help you choose an appropriate inferential statistic. However, before presenting the decision tree and describing how to use the statistical selection tables, we review the concepts that are necessary for selecting inferential statistics.
