ABSTRACT

The examples of analyses for this chapter include statistical tests that are used for a design with one independent variable that has two or more levels, and all participants are in one and only one condition (between groups). The single factor design would include studies that use the quantitative randomized experimental, quasi-experimental, and comparative approaches. It is important to remember (see Fig. 5.2) that the appropriate statistical test is the same for each of these quantitative approaches. For example, consider three different quantitative approaches.
