ABSTRACT
As everyone knows, the Atkinson-Shiffrin (1968) memory model contains both a short-term and a long-term component. The short-term component is a temporary holding buffer from which information is transferred into long-term store. This long-term information then is gradually lost or becomes unavailable as time passes.
