ABSTRACT

Research on the so-called theories of mind in developmental psychology has a very broad objective: to gain insight into children's comprehension of mental entities and phenomena. The basic idea in this framework is to determine whether and how children call on mental entities such as intentions, desires, and beliefs, to describe, explain, and predict human behavior. Another aim is to define the potential conditions under which representations of mental entities and phenomena are constructed, and the processes by which they evolve in the course of child development.
