ABSTRACT

A literature scan with stress as the topic reveals numerous articles and books on this subject matter. Hundreds of titles including concepts as job stress, role stress, organizational stress, stress and coping, and the like can be obtained from the library overview list. It is surprising to find relatively few titles of articles that include the concepts of stress and justice, whereas a global view of the theoretical background of stress and justice shows remarkable similarities. In this chapter we investigate the relation between the concepts of stress and justice. In doing so, we focus on the important role injustice may play in the development of stress.
