ABSTRACT

Language disturbances are correlated with the idiosyncrasies of each language. The Spanish language, as any other language, holds its own phonological, lexical, grammatical, semantic, and pragmatic particularities. Furthermore, reading and writing in Spanish requires following some specific rules. This chapter analyzes oral and written language disturbances in Spanish associated with brain pathology. Oral language disturbances and written language impairments are considered.
