ABSTRACT
Modeling is an important means for acquiring skills, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors (Bandura, 1986; Rosenthal & Zimmerman, 1978). Teachers, parents, and other adults serve as powerful models for children, but equally important are the many peers with whom children interact. Research shows that peer models play an important role in children's cognitive, social, and emotional development (Schunk, 1987).
