ABSTRACT
Peer-assisted learning (PAL) is an effective and flexible approach to teaching and learning that can be used in a host of different settings, both during the school years and beyond. Indeed, the experience of PAL within school can provide a valuable apprenticeship for these later activities, which are often embedded within an orientation toward lifelong learning.
