ABSTRACT

Hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) is one of the most common presenting problems in the practice of sex and couple therapy; approximately 20% of men and 33% of women are affected by low or absent sexual desire (Laumann, Palik, & Rosen, 1999). The incidence is higher in the clinical population: More than 50% of couples in treatment complain of insufficient sexual desire within their relationship (Segraves & Segraves, 1991).
