The Implementation of the National Curriculum in Small Primary Schools 1989–97

The limited evidence available suggests that in general the implementation of the National Curriculum in primary schools has been a qualified success and has brought about valuable, though unspectacular changes in the ways in which the curriculum is planned, organized, taught and assessed. Chapters 8, 9 and 11 include general overviews based on my reading of the limited evidence available.
