Educational psychologists and Black exclusion: towards a framework for effective intervention

For the Black community in Britain exclusion from school has been a source of anger and dissatisfaction for several generations. It seems ironic to most Black parents that there is now such an outcry, when collectively the wider public have not taken any notice of the warning signs throughout the past decades. Perhaps it is as one parent suggested: ‘It’s only now that white kids are also getting excluded that you hear anything about it’.
