ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we introduce two forms of qualitative research, interviewing and observation. As in other chapters, we will briefly describe the nature of this kind of research and then present an example of how it might be applied in schools (or other agencies and organizations). We then present a published example of this form of research, followed by our analysis of it. We conclude the chapter with an activity that will enable you to experience using some aspect(s) of the methodology yourself.
