ABSTRACT

We selected the chapters in this section to provide examples of individual selfstudy that best illustrate how self-study can help us, as teacher educators, to reconceptualize our notion of teacher education. Thus far in this text, we have presented ways to think about self-study and approaches for undertaking selfstudy; this section offers individual examples of self-study in practice. For the scholars in these particular studies, self-study was an individual undertaking. Importantly, while there are similarities among the examples offered here, there are also apparent differences in style and research approach.
