ABSTRACT

Case study is a familiar term to many people, but there is little agreement on what exactly constitutes a case study (Merriam, 1988). A case study is a holistic research method that uses multiple sources of evidence to analyze or evaluate a specific phenomenon or instance. Most case study research is interpretive and seeks to bring to life a case. It often, but not exclusively, occurs in a natural setting and it may employ qualitative and/or quantitative methods and measures.
