ABSTRACT
In addition to understanding how to construct different types of tests, teachers need to know how and when to use them. Accomplishing these two goals requires fundamental skills and knowledge in four areas: (1) descriptive statistics, (2) derived scores, (3) reliability, and (4) validity.
