ABSTRACT
A curriculum audit may be inspired by internal reasons totally in the hands of the school. An example is on the appointment of a new headteacher when an audit is possibly the first major curriculum action-following the departure of the hired rubbish skip! An audit is a tool used to aid assimilation but can also help to develop relationships and support a working relationship among the staff. It is also a requirement of the Literacy and Numeracy Strategies.
