Here we consider the steps that you might take in order to establish yourself in the role of design and technology coordinator. The following should be approached positively and turned to your advantage:
■ the role may be new in school; ■ the role may not have been filled for some time; ■ you may be quite new to design and technology; ■ design and technology may not be fully developed in the school; ■ you may be newly qualified or new to the school or both!
