ABSTRACT

Having evaluated the science curriculum structure for your school, your next task as the coordinator is to begin to focus on how this curriculum is implemented at the classroom level. This means first looking for evidence that teachers are providing children with experiences in science which are not only in line with the broad curriculum requirements but are also delivered in the most appropriate and effective ways possible to ensure meaningful learning with understanding. This evidence can then be used by you to plan how to deal with the weaknesses and inconsistencies, as well as building on the strengths.
