ABSTRACT

Setting a budget and building up suitable resources is an essential part of the co-ordinator’s job. Good resourcing is more than getting the catalogues, selecting items, doing the budget, and ordering and distributing stock. Resourcing is the practical end of the policy, where principles become routine and the right materials are used in the right way. Effective use of resources is difficult to achieve. We can publish guidelines and hope people take note or we can suggest ways to develop effectiveness.
