ABSTRACT
This chapter reports on a perceptual study aimed at testing how the systematic prosodic differences that characterize utterances with a neutral, a focus, or a topic reading, as they were produced by EP speakers of the Lisbon area, were perceived by subjects that are speakers of the same variety.
